Executive Mentoring

How my mentoring work began

About twice a year I am invited to work with board executives of an ever growing company based in the North West of England – This was instigated by the current Chairman who worked with me privately.

The company have diversified into both the United States and Europe. The only difference between them and their competitors is in the minds of the executive team and their ability to utilize the parts of the mind that can 'see' opportunities and be more creative.

The Chairman has said I can use their name within a testimonial, but I know he's not keen to advertise a competitive edge. Every time they take a company over or diverge into a new area, we banter that I should take some credit – I know he feels this as he keeps asking me back. Should I blow my own trumpet?  Yes, if we can get past American style Egoism and the English culture that values self deprecation.
